and Enjoy Complete Flexibility
Last year Neighbor Ride provided 16,974 rides to Howard County Seniors due to the generosity of our fabulous volunteers. To meet the growing demand as the population ages, recruiting and retaining volunteers is our top priority.  Have you resolved to make a difference? It is very easy and fulfilling to volunteer for Neighbor Ride.  Please view our videos  or our testimonials.

Flexible daytime, evening and weekend rides are available. We ask that you commit to drive only twice a month, choosing the rides that fit your work or personal schedule and are convenient to your home, office or daily routines.  No set schedule is required.  The first step is to attend Orientation. Programs are held every Tuesday morning at 9:30 am.  There will be an additional evening program Tuesday, October 8 at 6:00 pm.   Register Now or email or call 410-884-7433.  If these days and times are inconvenient for you, please call and we will arrange a time that works for you.

If you are not sure if you would like this type of volunteering, you are welcome to come along on a ride with a current volunteer to see what it is like!

One of the hardest things for people to figure out is how to start talking with loved ones about their health care wishes. Join us and learn how to give the gift of peace of mind to your family and loved ones in the event that you cannot speak for yourself by naming a health care agent and thinking through your preferences for care. Neighbor Ride is pleased to host a Conversation Starter Workshop for our volunteers and other members of the community.  The session will be facilitated by Paul Gleichauf who is on the Board of the Horizon Foundation and a long time Neighbor Ride driver.
